Lincoln New Hampshire

Mutual Aid

7/17/2000

Same town, same time frame, another structure fire has been reported, about 1 and 1/2 blocks east of the first fire. With all resources stretched to the limit at the Nordic Inn fire still going on, the response was directed to units in Lincoln Station designated as cover units. These units consisted of apparatus and crews from Franconia, Easton, and Twin Mountain. First on the scene brought a report of "Fire Showing give a second".

This report from the scene now brought out Littleton Engine 3 with a crew of 6 along with mutual aid from the Lakes Region Fire Dispatch. Engine 3's assignment was for cover to Lincoln Station but due to the long travel time, and within 10 minutes of Lincoln, Engine 3 was redirected to the Common Man Restaurant Fire. All tolled 14 towns responded to the fires both directly or as cover. The furthest south came from Laconia and north from Littleton. Engine 3 was commanded by Firefighter Bill Brusseau, with a crew consisting of Firefighters Jeremy Doyle, Dan Gerlack, Hank Verret, Paul Smith, and Wes Hicks.
